Working Principle of the Millimeter Wave Road Gate Barrier Radar

The millimeter wave radar detects vehicles and sends a relay signal to control the gate’s switch. The system’s white and yellow wires continuously signal the gate to remain open when a vehicle is detected. Once the vehicle leaves, the signal is deactivated, causing the gate barrier to close.

• Roadway Barriers: Ideal for automatic gate operation in roadway barriers.

Vehicle Detector Installation

1. Radar Positioning:
   • Install the trigger radar and the anti-smash radar perpendicular to the lane’s direction.
   • Anti-smash radar: Installed on the cabinet below the barrier pole.
   • Trigger radar: Installed on a special bracket for radar installation.
   • Optimal height from the ground to the radar center: 0.6 meters.
2. Barrier Stability:
   • Ensure the barrier’s cabinet is fixed firmly to avoid shaking during operation.
3. Obstacle-Free Detection Area:
   • Ensure no obstacles other than the barrier pole within the detection area (e.g., traffic cones, isolation bars, signs).
4. Environment Update:
   • Update the radar background promptly after any environmental changes in the detection area.
