Project Background

The objective of this project was to enable a seamless, automated parking system for a hotel in the Tianxin Community of Changsha. The customer required a system to provide free access to visitors and effectively manage parking using license plate recognition technology.

Project Requirements

  1. Free Access for Hotel Visitors: Implement a system to grant free entry and exit for guests visiting the hotel.
  2. License Plate Management: Record and manage parking based on vehicle license plates.
  3. Automated Records: Automatically record the license plate number and the entry and exit times of each vehicle.
  4. Multiple Access Points: Manage traffic through four entrances and two exits.

Project Scale

  • Entrances: 4
  • Exits: 2

Project Equipment

  • License Plate Recognition Machines: 12 all-in-one units.
  • Software: Two sets of license plate recognition and management software.

Project Strength

The system provides comprehensive management of various types of vehicles, including:

  • Temporary Cars: Allowing temporary visitors to access the parking lot without manual intervention.
  • VIP Cars: Offering special privileges and tracking for VIP guests.
  • Other Vehicle Types: Ensuring security and management for all other vehicle categories.

System Benefits

System Workflow

  1. Entry:
    • A vehicle approaches one of the four entrances.
    • The license plate recognition machine captures the vehicle’s license plate number.
    • The system records the entry time.
    • The barrier gate opens automatically, allowing the vehicle to enter.
  2. Exit:
    • A vehicle approaches one of the two exits.
    • The license plate recognition machine captures the vehicle’s license plate number again.
    • The system records the exit time.
    • The barrier gate opens automatically, allowing the vehicle to leave.
