License Plate Recognition and Cashless Payment in Malaysia

Regarding parking payment systems, many countries have different payment software which is very complicated and cumbersome.
I would like to know about the payment process for parking lots in Malaysia.
This is about my conversation with the Malaysian dealer

In Malaysia… They are slowly switching to Cashless and Clean method

for Cashless Method (debit/credit) card :

• Car arrive the scan debit/credit card and the barrier gate open for both entry and exit
• from the entry, user will present their debit/credit card as verification
• from the exit, user will present the same debit/credit card as confirmation and charges will be charge to the card after exiting
• nowadays company owner, customer or client, building management will not prefer any auto pay station

That’s the trend in Malaysia.

I learned from my conversation with him that the main payments in Malaysia are done through one of three ways.

1. Visa
2. Master
3. Touch n Go
